왜 만들었나
작품 뒤의 마음
모든 작품이 무대에 오르고 싶어 하는 건 아닙니다. 어떤 작품은 같이 사는 일을 위해 만들어집니다. 도서관의 한쪽, 서재, 진료실의 대기실 같은 곳에서 조용히 옆에 있는 작품. 화려한 것보다 거기에 있다는 사실이 더 중요한 방을 위해 만들었습니다.

어떻게 생각했나
작품 뒤의 사고
이 작품은 한글을 정물(靜物)의 구성으로 다룹니다. 셰프가 접시를 차리듯, 플로리스트가 줄기를 다듬듯 정성스럽게 배치된 글자들. 천천히, 호흡과 함께, 액자 안에. 공연이라기보다 건축에 가까운 작품입니다. 매일 지나면서, 매번 다르게 눈에 들어옵니다.

당신이 느끼길 바라는 것
앉아서 책을 읽는 자리에 걸어 두세요. 도서관, 사무실, 대기실. '본다'고 기대하지 마세요. 그저 거기에 있게 두세요. 몇 달 후에는 작품이 당신 주변의 방을 어떻게 바꿔 놓았는지 알게 됩니다. 가장 조용한 작품이 가장 깊은 변화를 일으킵니다.
