왜 만들었나
작품 뒤의 마음
1443년, 세종이라는 왕은 글을 읽지 못하는 백성을 보고 결심했습니다. 언어가 학자들의 것이어서는 안 된다고. 그는 가장 논리적인 문자 체계, 모두를 위해 설계된 한글을 만들었습니다. 600년이 지난 지금도 그 너그러움이 저를 움직입니다. 그래서 이 작품을 만들었습니다.

어떻게 생각했나
작품 뒤의 사고
디지털 시대에 코드는 새로운 알파벳입니다. 그래서 한글을 매트릭스 코드처럼 떨어뜨렸습니다. 각 글자는 한 문명의 소스코드 한 조각입니다. 비는 지우지 않습니다. 쌓입니다. 한 겹 한 겹, 문화가 공기 안에 자신을 적어 내려갑니다.
