왜 만들었나
작품 뒤의 마음
이십 대 초반에 가장 친한 친구를 잃었습니다. 죽음으로가 아니라, 거리로, 시간으로, 서로 다른 사람이 되어 가는 느린 속도로. 한동안 그 상실을 구멍처럼 느꼈어요. 이 작품을 만들고 나서야, 터널로 느끼기 시작했습니다. 친구가 그 반대편 어딘가에서 여전히 걷고 있는 터널.

어떻게 생각했나
작품 뒤의 사고
워프 터널은, 자기 자신으로 감기고, 휘고, 멀리 떨어진 두 점이 거의 닿게 해 주는 시간의 은유입니다. 터널 안으로 가속된 한글은 장거리 연결의 기하학이 됩니다. 돌아옴이 아니라, 함께 가고 있음.

당신이 느끼길 바라는 것
닿을 수 없는 누군가가 그리울 때 보세요. 작품은 재회를 약속하지 않습니다. 기하학을 약속합니다. 터널이 말합니다. 당신과 그 사람은 멀리 떨어져 있어도 여전히 같은 형태의 일부라고. 그것으로 충분합니다.
