왜 만들었나
작품 뒤의 마음
스무 살의 끝자락에 붙잡으려 했던 모든 것이 손가락 사이로 빠져나갔습니다. 관계도, 확신도, 나라고 믿었던 어떤 모습도. 한때는 그게 실패라고 생각했어요. 이 작품을 만들면서 깨달았습니다. 그게 살아 있다는 것의 법칙이라는 걸. 형태는 흘러야 합니다. 꽉 쥔 손은 결국 놓치는 손입니다.

어떻게 생각했나
작품 뒤의 사고
꽃, 별, 소용돌이, 다시 꽃. 각 형태는 심장박동 한 번만큼 진실이고, 그다음 형태로 넘어갑니다. 이 작품은 무상함을 명상합니다. 슬픈 무상이 아니라, 다정한 무상을. 잃은 것도, 영원한 것도 없습니다. 둘 다 친절합니다.
